InuKimi (color)
Picture information
Description:
She's all finished now!
InuKimi aka SessMom aka Lucille Bluth is seriously my favorite.
This is how I picture her as a young princess, possibly on her way to meet InuPapa for the first time. And (as we all know) with Toga it takes skin to win!
I wanted her outfit to be kind of eccentric and pan-Western Asian in style because I image that demon society has it’s own aesthetic that is both parallel to and separate from that of humans. I think that the style of Sesshomaru, InuKimi, and Togo in the anime/manga back this up. In my mind, they’re all well-traveled and don’t necessarily have the same attitudes about cultural homogeny that Japanese humans at the time would have.
I noticed after I scanned this that I had M.C.-Escher-ed her kimono because there’s a lapel that goes nowhere #noregrets
Also I hate drawing the bottoms of things, so ignore her non-legs.

Thank you guys :) I really appreciate it!
omg I totally agree with you, her legs are totally weird. I wanted to fix them but I'd erased that part of the paper too many times and they were kind stuck. And thank you! :)
Gotta love the coloring and amount of detail you put in her facial features, accessory and clothing.
One little minus I have to say, is that I think her leg(s?) are a bit too skinny. Don't get me wrong, she is a very refined lady and definately doesn't have pudgy legs, but here her showing leg seems just too skinny. At least the thigh/femur part. The position she's standing in also is the slightest bit off. I tried going in front of a mirror, mimicing her position, and had a hard time trying to stand still. I think it is good practice to watch yourself from the mirror when you're drawing, especially when you want to try nail positions.
Nevertheless, I really love the picture. It portrays Inumama in a very favorable way. :)
