Discussion with a Daiyoukai
Picture information
Description:
Her hand fisting, she placed her small chin in it, the other hand curling underneath her jaw. Kagome stared at the demon Lord on her side, a small grin stretching on her full lips. His cold golden eyes stared at her placidly.
The daiyoukai's angelic face remained stoic, yet his frozen eyes showed his curiosity as he gazed back at her. Her smile grew.
"You know behind that mask of yours you aren't so bad." The miko stated suddenly.
Sesshoumaru arched a slender brow at the priestess.
"And why do you say that, miko." He retorted dryly, his eyes narrowing.
Kagome cocked her head to the side, her blue eyes sliding across the inu youkai's stunning features that remained stony.
"Because you have a good heart, Sesshoumaru-sama. For beneath the glares, arrogance and animosity, I know deep down you have a heart and its not the chunk of ice you make it seem to be."
Ignoring the slanting of the demon's sharp glare, the futuristic girl's face beamed happily as she added, "You do care about people - you just show it in your own way. You have things you want to protect, Sesshoumaru - you want to protect them because you secretly do care about them and like having something to protect."
The girl's beautiful face seemed to light up as she smiled innocently at the blank-faced demon Lord. Inwardly, Sesshoumaru was reeling. The girl's words echoed in his head. His pale lips pursing, he looked away from the human girl, her smile grating his nerves that seemed suddenly quite frayed, his eyes sliding closed.
His head arching high on his neck, he hummed derisively, and murmured, "Hn. Such ridiculous notions you tell yourself, girl. This one has nothing to protect."
His eyes opened, his icy glare appraising her smiling face with obvious irritation.
"Your prattle grows tedious." He said icily before getting up and walking away.
Kagome watched Sesshoumaru, his white-silver hair trailing behind him as he gracefully exited her bedroom. He left silently. She sat there for a few moments, her smile still in place. She twirled in her chair and looked down at her homework. Humming beneath her breath, she giggled.
It seemed the demon's fur was ruffled... and it was kind of cute.

Just a quick doodle I did of Kagome and Sess. The scene I wrote above just is to go with the picture - it doesn't come from any fanfic.
