to eat or not to eat?

Swords clashed as two figures went at it in the middle of a battle field full of blood and dead bodies. The figures separated and they looked at each other with a deadly glare before they once again began fighting. The figures broke away from each other and stood there staring at each other.

"Kanome."

"Kagome."

A cold small smirk appeared on the face of the person named Kagome, the cole the smirk had a predatory gleam to it as she looked at her opponent.

The one named Kagome was wearing a sleaveless top that went down to her legs had a long slit that came up to her thigh. Around the waist was a small simple belt. Her attire was orange and white with sakura blossoms going in a spiral. She had matching orange shoes and headband. (Think of Seung MIna off of Soul Calibur II.) The woman named Kanome had on the same thing as Kagome except hers was a light blue.

They looked like identical twins.

Kanome gave a look to kagome that thristed for blood. Kagome returned the look before she looked behind her spotting a red falling star aiming towards them. Kagome looked back at Kanome and attacked her head on.

The red star fell into the clearing where Kagome and Kanome was, filling it with red haze over throwing the act of trying to see anything. A figure walked out of the clearing carrying a body.

4 years later

A low grumble sounded off in the forest as a low moan came after it.

"I'm so hungry."

The figure walked throug some bushes and looked ar the scenery. It looked peaceful until a little kit ran into the peaceful clearing. he looked frightened as hewas bent over with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. he looked behind him with the look of fear on his face. The bushes rumbled and the ground shookas a bear kenyou walked out from the otherside.

"There you are brat."

The kenyou ran towards the kit with his claws ready eat the little kit.

Finally seeing enough the figure ran out to the kit and killed the kenyou. The figure turned towards the kit and looked down at him. The kit had covered his eyes with his hands and curled into a ball making him look helpless and defenseless it made her heart soften at seeing this.The kit uncovered his eyes and slowly over the figure. A small frown emitted on his face as he stared at the

figures attire.

"I was saved by a prostitute, oh how dishonorable."

A sweatdrop appeared at the side of her head as she looked at the boy.

"You little brat," She said as she picked him up by the scruff of the neck. "What's your name?"

"Ontario, Shippo....and what is your name prostitute?"

She glared at Shippo long and hard before answering him.

"Higurashi, Kagome," She turned her back on him and started to walk off. "And since you insiston calling me something as distastefulas that.....I'm leaving you here to get eaten alive."

With that she started to leave the clearing.

'No matter how much sympathy I felt for him I will not help anyone who is calling me a prostitute.'

"Wait!!!!" He said running after her. "I want to show you to my father."

After a long pause she gave her reply.

"Where do you live brat?"

"Not too long from here, about ten minutes west."

Okay, but after that I'm leaving, got that?"

"Got it."

Kagome grabbed him by the scruff ofhis neck again and put him ontop of her head.

"Now, which way is it?"

"The way I just came from."

Kagome turned and walked in the direction that held the deceased bear tracks.

Five minutes later and the brat was riding her nerves with his mindless chatter. All he did was talk about his home and how its this and that.

'I ought to leave him here and let another bear kenyou come and eat him.' She thought bitterly as her eye twitched out of irritation.

"How many more minutes is left?"

"I swear it's like you're trying to get rid of me, but it's right through those bushes.

"Thank god." She whispered under her breath as she eagerly pushed through the bushes.

She looked up to see a big celestial castle that covered up the whole scenery. To say that she was surprised would be an understatement. But she wasn't going to let the little brat on her head know that so she kept a neutral face.

"So where do we go now?"

"So where do we go now?"

"We go through the doors."

"Hn."

Kagome walked up to the double doors and pushed them open and watched as the servants looked at them crazy.

A servant came up to them and looked at Kagome for a couple of seconds then turned her attention to Shippo.

"Master Shippo, where have you been?!!!! We've been looking for ou all day!! You had us worried!!!!!"

"I've been with her all day....where's father?"

"He's in his study...please don't tell me you're going to present his highness with this prostitute?"

"What is with me getting called a prostitute today? I still got my virtue in tact...do you?" Kagome asked as she got all up in the servants face.

By the dumbfounded look on the servants face she guessed she was correct. Kagome stepped pass the servant and walked up some stairs and down a hall.

"So where's your father's study?"

"Just go down the hall until you see some double doors."

Kagome walked down the hall until she went up to some double doors that had Taisho engraved on it.

'So he's kin to the western lord....he must be adopted.'

She knocked on the door and awaited his answer. A muffled 'come in' was heard before she opened the door, she quietly closed the door behind her. The Western lord had his head down reading some scrolls. He looked up and his eyes widened a

fraction as he looked her a clothes.

"I'm glad to see you back Shippo....but...I didn't think you would bring me back a concubine." He said looking as he silently stared at Kagome's clothes. (She still has Seung Mina clothes.)

By the time he finished his sentence Kagome had a very unhealthy vein sticking out of the side of her head.

"Brat!!!!....you and your family got a lot of nerves." She said through gritted teeth as she grabbed him by the hair and dropped him on the floor and started to walk to the door.

"Chotto matte!!!!! Father this lady saved me from a bear kenyou....her name is Higurashi, Kagome."

"Good Afternoon, Higurashi-sama."

"Good afternoon, Taisho-sama."

"You bow to those of higher power, prostitute." Shippo said as he turned around to face her.

"I bow to those who I deem respectful brat, and I have yet to see it in this house of people hat keeps proclaiming me of being a prostitute, you little brat."

Kagome side stepped the sword that flew by her head and into the door in front of her.

"Awww...bery good my child....well trained too....you are to be Shippo's guard....I myself am getting too busy to watch himand his brothers don't want him around them."

"No thanks....I went throughhell with him and his name calling I don't think I'll be able to put up with him."

*Grumble*

A huge sweatdrop appeared at the side of her head as she gav off a huge mushroom sigh.

'Just when I was making a point my stomach steps in.'

Inutaisho gave a big grin when he heard her stomach growl.

Hook.

"We've got food."

Just as he said that a mouth watering aroma seeped through the door.

"So I've smelled....smell delicious."

Line.

"Yes we're having lunch soon, oden and rice."

"I'll only stay if the food is cooked to perfection....only then I'll guard the little snot."

SINKER!!!!!!

"I'm not snot!!!!"

"Sure you're not you little bra...."

A soft knock sounded through the room cutting Kagome off.

"Come in."

A servant walked in and bowed before Inutaisho.

"Milord, lunch is served."

"Yes, we will be there."

"Yes, Milord." The servant slowly walked out the room with her head still bowed.

"Well.....lunch shall decides fate....so let's go eat." Inutaisho grinned as her walked towards the door.
