Kagome is living in his shiro and he's using her to entertain dignitaries. She moved there under the impression that she'd be his lady, but it didn't turn out that way. Sesshoumaru's being a jerk, and being cold with her, because he isn't supposed to show weakness(I think. It's been a while). One thing I remember specifically is that Kagome had run away at one point because she was pregnant and afraid he was going to kill it. Edit: I think she was living out of a cave while pregnant.
