Did the site switch something in chat, because I can't get on anymore? When I try to go into a chat room, a screen comes up that I've never seen before to do with signing in to addonchat or something. I never had to do that before, it always just went straight in. Plz help.

they are in the process of setting up a new chat server...don't know when it will officially roll out

Since 123FlashChat has been such a PITA over the years... and they upped their prices to almost $300 for the year, we're switching to a new chat provider.

Mitharus is working on integrating it with the site, so please bear with us while we work out the bugs, 'k? AddOnChat is cheaper, with pretty much the same options from what I can tell, so we might be better off in the long run.

quick question. How is the fund raising going?

Quick answer since I'm at work...

I paid six months' hosting yesterday in the amount of $1404.00. We have almost... ALMOST... enough to pay the second six months. We need about $50.00 more to be able to make the second payment.

Bottom line... the site is now paid for the next six months and we're working on the rest.

The chat is sortta up... The new version is there anyway. I haven't had a chance to tie it in with the system accounts yet. Though you should still be able to put in a username to get in though.

As for Java.... Do you have the Java Run Time (or SDK?) updated, or the browser plug-ins? From what I've seen it's stupid now days and the plug-ins and JRE are separate a lot of the time.

If you're on Windows, try grabbing the offline version from: http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Has other OS's listed if you aren't on Win.

I was able to get in with JRE 1.7.0u25 without the browser cursing at me about the Java version ...

For some odd reason, I had to download the Java update in Chrome, because it wouldn't update properly with FireFox. Once I downloaded it with Chrome, and installed it, it worked beautifully in FireFox.

Chat is possible to get into. Although I wasn't expecting to hear a 'Welcome', scared me a little bit...

Yeah, chat is working, though the 'welcome' and the new interface got me by surprise. XD

Is chat down again? I know they have a new chat but it is not loading. Just stays on the agree or not agree page.

If you're not getting a pop-up box at all, I suspect you might have disabled pop-ups - and you may have to enable them for Dokuga. That being said, I'm experiencing both a security warning and a Java problem with Firefox, so I tried logging in with Chrome.

Like I did with Firefox, I got a security warning about the application, and then a request from Chrome to run Java for this site. I strongly suspect that something about Java isn't agreeing with either the site or those two browsers. I DID, though, manage to login with Chrome after allowing the security exception and allowing Chrome to run Java for Dokuga.

Not sure if that's something others are experiencing, but thought I'd throw it out here.

I just logged in through firefox and other than taking a few seconds longer than what I remember to be normal I was able to log in just fine.

I am getting the popup, it just loads "www.dokuga.com/chat/chat" in the popup.

It has an extra "/chat" but no actual chatscreen. I have seen it do this before when chat was down but it was normally back up soon.

Never-mind. I got it fixed. I had to flush my cache and restart. It is loading now. Pays to be somewhat computer savvy. Just gotta rely on my terrible memory. =D

I have a question about chat again. Sorry...
I updated my java. I had to when java stopped working.
I'm not sure if it is my java or something else, It wasn't giving me this problem before my update. It was the only change I made. (Unless it is windows 7 -.-)

Now I'm getting this weird pop up when I go to load chat.





Has anyone else see it or it is just me?
Does this mean chat will not work with my next java update?
If so what can I do to stop this from happening?

That is a change in Java 7. Basically, the chat JAR file is not signed, or signed with a self-signed certificate (Or the manifest is messed up a bit for what it expects).

They decided that this is a security risk {1}, and in later versions of Java are going to make it virtually impossible to run unless the file is signed by a "trusted" source.

So, that's all the pop-up is saying; That they've decided for your own good, they aren't going to let you run things if it doesn't fit into what they think it should be.
