pssst! The REAL reason Kikyo pinned Inuyasha to the God tree is because he took her childhood toy, a geisha doll with silver hair. Inuyasha thought it looked like Sesshoumaru's mom, so he was going to use it to 'lure' Sesshoumaru to his demise. Kikyo wouldn't have her doll used in such a fiendish plot, hence the sealing arrow.
